For the academic year September 2025 to July 2026, Petersgate Infant received a total of £17,140 for PE and Sport Premium Funding.  

The main aims of the funding are to develop or add to the PE already in place in school (referring to the aims below)

• To make improvements now for future pupils

The National Curriculum aims are for all children:

• To be physically active
• To excel in a broad range of activities
• To engage in competition
• To lead healthy lifestyles

We aim to meet the curriculum expectations with the help of the Sport Premium Funding by providing:

• An inclusive curriculum
• Access to traditional and alternative sports
• Raise the profile of PE and sport
• Increase the confidence, knowledge and skills of staff
• Participation in competitive sport
• Increase opportunities to be active outside of the classroom
